P7+ AWD Performance vs Long Range RWD — which to choose
by P7+ News • 10/19/2026, 12:00:00 AM
The XPENG P7+ is available on the European market in two main variants. Here are the differences based on reviews.
Long Range RWD
- ~313 hp, single rear motor.
- LFP ~75 kWh battery (net ~73-76 kWh).
- WLTP range ~530 km.
- Lighter, more efficient — a good choice if range is the priority.
AWD Performance
- ~503 hp (0-100 km/h in ~4.3 s).
- Range drops to ~500 km.
- All-wheel drive — better traction, more power.
- This is the variant we test (our author drives an AWD Performance).
What else to know
- In China there are additional versions: EREV (range-extender), Ultra Long Range Max, and the newer P7 Ultra/Next P7 — these are different vehicles, their data does not transfer to European BEVs.
- The EU-market car is built at Magna Steyr in Austria (Graz).
Which to choose?
- Range and economy -> Long Range RWD (~530 km WLTP).
- Power and traction -> AWD Performance (~503 hp, 4.3 s to 100).
- Both share the same 800 V architecture and fast charging.
Note: technical values come from reviewers’ statements and may differ between markets and versions.
